FAQ - or, perhaps more accurately, Questions I Anticipate You Will Ask (QIAYWA):

Q: Blogging since 2002? But you started this in October!

A: From August 2002-mid 2004, my sister Lauren and I wrote a blog at madpony.com. We no longer own the domain, and I forgot my log-in to Blogger. However, the posts are all still there, minus the pictures and the fancy design. You can read them here, if you're into that sort of thing.

Q: What does madpony mean?

A: When my sister and I started the blog, we wanted a dot com with a short and easy to remember name. Lauren and I both ride horses, we owned a rather angry one at the time, madpony.com was available, and we liked the way it sounded. Really, that's all there is to it.

Q: Blogging about shoes?

A: During college, I worked part time at Shoetopia, a shoe store on Campus Corner at the University of Oklahoma. Because of the sweet wireless internet connection from the coffee shop next door, I spent about half my time at Shoetopia selling shoes and half my time writing. As you can imagine, shoes came up once or twice... a week.

Q: Why did you quit?

A: Burnout.

Q: Why are you back?

A: No idea.

Q: What have you been doing since you left?

A: Met my boyfriend now husband, had lots of fun, graduated from college, got married, started law school, stopped having fun altogether.

Q: Where's Lauren?

A: Lauren is a sophomore at Oklahoma State University. She's currently far too busy soaking up the college experience to blog, although it's possible that she will make an appearance in the future.

Q: Are you going to stick with it this time?

A: I hope so! :)
